In early June 2016 this 118 acre parcel of land (former golf course) was bought by Polygon, a Vancouver developer. Polygon is proposing a multi-phase development that would include 370 housing units to be built over the next 7-10 years. Eight acres of the property would be public park with plans for affordable housing as part of the project. This development will likely launch in 2018.

Cheekye Fan is a proposed 170 acre development to take place in the Cheekye area, north of Brackendale. The development will be an eight phase project consisting of 537 small and medium single family lots, 678 multi-family units, zoning for a tiny-home village, and a neighbourhood centre set to include a childcare facility, community care, business services and retail.

There is a proposed 71.5 acres of the development that will be parks and greenways. The project is currently undergoing rezoning and official community plan amendment. The biggest issue with this development is the cost and construction of a debris flow barrier to protect the neighbourhood. It is expected pre-sales may be available as early as Fall 2017.
